Airmail services to Australia, Canada, Mexico, United States and certain other destinations suspended

2021.12.31

Hongkong Post announced today (December 31) that, owing to the substantial reduction in flight frequencies or even cancellation of flights by airlines for certain destinations, all airmail services (including Speedpost) to Australia, Canada, Mexico and the United States will be suspended from tomorrow (January 1) until further notice. Hongkong Post will continue working closely with air freight contractors for resumption of the impacted services as soon as possible.

In addition, airmail services to Belize, Christmas Island (Indian Ocean), Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Norfolk Islands will also be suspended in view of mail transiting via Australia and Mexico.

Members of the public may visit the web page of Hongkong Post at www.hongkongpost.hk/en/about_us/whats_new/notices/index_id_1105.html on the service availability for overseas destinations.

----------

For everyone that is looking to send out via Standard or Expedited shipping - please note that this service is temporarily unavailable as of the postal notice.

DHL services remain unaffected and you may continue to store break orders until you reach the free shipping tier for DHL.

To prepare for more packages being stored, we will also look to automatically queue break orders out for shipping once they exceed accumulated values above $500. This will help us manage our storage space until regular postal services become available.

We sincerely apologize to those of you that are already queued to ship Standard and/or Expedited. As a reminder, you are able to store breaks with us for a year, so you have full control over how quickly or slowly you would like to accumulate up to free DHL shipping.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

Thank you!
